It’s no secret that passive management was not just the buzz word of the last several years, but a full-on movement.  Headlines speak of investors flocking to passively managed funds amid mounting fees and diminished returns; but has active management really declined?

Bloomberg and the Hedge Fund Association are pleased to post panels with some of the most influential minds from across the investment community as we seek to answer this question. We will discuss the impact passive management has had and the role that active management still plays.

Discussion topics include:

  • What has changed for active management since the financial crisis and the onset of passive management?
  • How are the active managers differentiating and adapting in this environment?
  • How do allocators view this new paradigm and what are the strategies they believe are poised to flourish?

This event is exclusively reserved for current HFA members and those currently employed on the buy side.  All registrations are subject to review and approval.
