Reminder: Important Deadline for RIAs and Exempt Reporting Advisers

The deadline for most Registered Investment Advisers and Exempt Reporting Advisers to file their annual updating amendment is approaching at the end of March.

Advisers with a December 31 fiscal year end must file their annual amendment on the IARD system before March 31, 2018.  As discussed in our alert on September 25, 2017, Advisers must file the revised version of Form ADV after October 1, 2017.  The amended form requires more detailed information and, as a result, may take longer to complete.  Advisers should begin compiling the necessary information for the new version of the form since additional disclosure is now required.
