Danielle Malecek is a Technology & Data Strategist with Zencos Consulting. Zencos was established in 1999 as a boutique technology consulting firm specialized in advanced analytics. Zencos helps clients to execute and achieve their goals in advanced analytics strategies like big data, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.

Danielle combines her passion for the markets with cutting edge technology to help Capital Markets firms manage risk. Her quantitative experience began in 2007 in derivatives with Bank of America. She served as Senior Analyst and Trustee for a $10 Billion (notional) portfolio of Collateral Debt Obligations (CDOs). In late 2009, she led the unwind of the Lehman’s $8 Billion in collateral following its bankruptcy. Danielle also served as an analyst to a small investment-grade fund during the European Debt Crisis, where she applied statistical methods to manage risk and deliver returns in a low-interest rate market. In 2012, Bank of America asked Danielle to return as a Data Governance consultant where she reported and presented Counterparty Credit Exposures for the bank’s global derivative portfolio. Today, Danielle continues her consultancy path by enlisting statistics to help clients manage risk and fight financial crime like money laundering and fraud.

Danielle brings over 15 years of experience in alternative strategies and asset classes, regulatory compliance, and technology consulting to the hedge fund community. She is a graduate of Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business with a degree in Finance and a minor in Journalism. Danielle is an advocate of and mentor to minorities and women in STEM. She is a member of 100 Women in Hedge Funds, the Hedge Fund Association’s Regulatory and Government Committee, as well as a member of other civic and charitable organizations in North Carolina.
